Biology and Behavior

Males are shiny black with a brown belly and white feathers on the rump and outer part of the tail. On the contrary, females are grayish-brown in color, smaller than males. Both sexes have a black beak and pink legs. Juveniles have a coloration similar to that of females, with their chest dotted with spots. Male and female take turns incubating the eggs until they hatch.
