Medium in size, it stands out for its white plumage. The sides of the wings and tail are black, as is the beak. Its small head is an adaptation to its diet. It feeds on a wide variety of fruit, and to eat, it inserts its small head inside the fruit. Due to this fact, it is also known by the name “Fruit Dove”. They usually hang upside down, clinging tightly to the branches with their paws, in order to get their favorite snacks.
