Summer nights return to BIOPARC Fuengirola during the months of July and August

With the holidays just around the corner and thermometers reaching high temperatures, afternoon and evening plans become one of the best alternatives to avoid fading from the heat. So that these conditions are not an impediment, BIOPARC Fuengirola opens its doors at later hours during the summer months and, in addition, incorporates new and long-awaited activities to enjoy at nightfall.

Tropical forests in the moonlight

Starting July 1 and until August 31, Bioparc Fuengirola extends its hours to experience the magic of summer nights. Opening from 10 a.m. to 23 p.m., visitors will have the option of enjoying a new, more refreshing leisure alternative.

The drop in temperatures at dusk makes the animal park a perfect place to discover tropical jungles around the world.. A unique opportunity to contemplate some of the species with nocturnal habits that are home to and inhabit the recreated island of Madagascar, equatorial Africa, Southeast Asia or the Indo Pacific: Sumatran tigers, Sri Lankan leopards, Malayan tapirs, potamoqueros, bats or binturones . These are just lagoons of the more than 200 threatened species that Bioparc Fuengirola houses.

African dances return to summer nights

From next July 7 to August 31, every night, the Claro de Selva of the animal park will be filled with African rhythms and colors with the Senegalese group 'Sicobana'. Visitors will experience the magic of African dances with dancers, percussionists and choreographers who will show African culture to the entire public.

Along with these new features, interested parties will also be able to enjoy dinner at Bioparc Café, which also extends its hours during the summer months. Through a combined entrance + dinner pass, this will allow you to access the park and benefit from a discount on the menus included in the menu.

This magic will move during the mornings of the Wednesdays and Saturdays, at 11:00 a.m., to an individual percussion workshop in which adults and children will learn to play the traditional djembe and the rhythms of Senegalese culture.

Activities for the whole family

Like every year, every day at 12:30 p.m. and 18:30 p.m., will take place 'Meetings with Caregivers' (Meeting agenda HERE). A different adventure in getting to know the wildest nature with the help of the Zoology, Herpetology and Education teams. Through these meetings, visitors will discover the daily work of these teams, which will teach, among others, how to feed the Komodo dragons or the Nile crocodiles, how ice cream helps the animals combat the heat or learn the culture of the different species of primates are some of these new proposals that complement the 'Leisure with a cause' offer championed by the Bioparc.

Along with these activities, BIOPARC Fuengirola maintains those already scheduled on the agenda: guided tours to the island of Madagascar (every day, starting at 11:00 a.m.) and the Bird and Mammal Exhibition (every day, at 14:00 p.m. and 20:00 p.m.).

The BIOPARCs represent in Spain the new paradigm of animal parks of the 21st century whose objectives are awareness, conservation and maximum animal well-being. Located in the interior of three cities that are outstanding tourist destinations, they offer the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience for the whole family.

They are born with the purpose of change people's attitude to understand the need to live in harmony with the planet. The objective of this 'leisure with a cause' is to awaken emotion when contemplating some of the most beautiful and threatened habitats of untamed nature, while at the same time motivating a change of attitude in society towards nature conservation to protect the environment and preserve endangered species.

The BIOPARC experience allows you to enjoy a different leisure, committed to the environment and conservation. A unique opportunity to share the love and respect for animals and their environments.
