School visits
2025-2026
BIOPARC Fuengirola recreates some of the most important and biodiversity-rich habitats on the planet. In them it is possible to see amazing species in carefully constructed areas, based on what is called zooimmersion.

For the 2025/26 school year, we have prepared a program so that the excursion is fun and educational:

  • Activities with different teaching materials, included in the 3-hour visit, to ensure the fun of your students.
  • Our three-hour guided tours can be extended with half-hour or 45-minute workshops, tailored to the different educational stages: Preschool, Primary, Secondary, and Baccalaureate.
  • In addition, we offer you the option of making the visit in ENGLISH, at no additional cost.

To make this experience possible, we put at your disposal a team of professionals who will advise you in a personalized way in order to create the excursion tailored to your class, cycle or group.

MEETING WITH TEACHERS

Constant communication and collaboration with teachers is very important for the proper development and improvement of our educational activities.

During the school year, We will hold several meetings with the teaching staff during which our Education Department will meet with teachers who wish to learn about our school offer (upon prior registration). During these meetings, we will visit one of the areas of the park, review the latest developments in the current School Offer and listen to your opinions and suggestions.

ID CARD FOR TEACHERS

For attending this meeting, teachers will be presented with the Teaching Card (CaD). For more information about the conditions, write to us at educacion@bioparcfuengirola.es

Did you know that...
In recent months, numerous events have occurred that will make your visit much more special. Below, you can discover some of them, but we could have chosen many others just as important:

Malayan tapir family reunites for the first time

The calf born in March is now living with its mother, Rawa, and father, Mekong, following a delicate, natural and respectful adaptation process. Spain is home to the only family of Malayan tapirs thanks to the pioneering work of the Malaga park. Bioparc Fuengirola, a national benchmark in the conservation of this unique species

New virtual reality experience at Bioparc Fuengirola

En BIOPARC Fuengirola we introduce you The Last Frontier, an adventure of virtual reality for the whole family. During 12 minutes you will immerse yourself in the abyssal depths, a mysterious and life-filled world that we know less about than space itself. Thanks to immersive technology, you'll be able to explore the secrets of the ocean like never before.

The red-bellied potoo family keeps growing!

This summer we witnessed two births of this very special African species. The most recent mother had two youngsters who are developing strong and curious, and are already running around alongside their older sister, born in July. In addition to teaching them how to behave, she never misses the opportunity to continue suckling from the new mother... just the thing that comes with being the oldest!

A great circuit of living estuaries

We have a complete water circuit made up of authentic rivers and waterfalls. More than 2.200 cubic meters of totally drinkable fresh water, filtered mechanically and naturally, without any type of chemical product that prevents life in them. In them they enjoy baths, hydrate themselves and, of course, they are essential for their lives, as is the case with hippos, ducks or crocodiles.

Sensory enrichments for animals

If there is one job of keepers that guarantees that animals continue to maintain their natural instincts, it is to carry out enrichment. Marking trunks with different scents is, for example, one of the most frequently done to Sumatran tigers. In this way, we activate the patrol behavior of this feline.

Giant otter pups jump into the water

The three giant otter pups born at Bioparc Fuengirola are now swimming in the estuary outside their habitat. This endangered species finds new hope for its conservation in programs like this. Don't miss them learning to swim with the guidance of their parents. A unique moment!

KIDS MENU

BIOPARC promotes attitudes of interest, care and respect for nature. We do it through the areas of this educational stage: self-knowledge and personal autonomy, knowledge of the environment and language, through communication and representation.

PRIMARY

In addition to key competencies, We work with special attention on the “living beings” block, based on evaluation criteria such as observing the different animal species in the environment or interpreting and recognizing the main components of ecosystems.

HIGH SCHOOL

Among the contents we work on are the influence of abiotic and biotic factors on ecosystems, life cycles, classification systems of living beings, etc. For each cycle, different criteria and competencies are defined and this is how we transmit them.
