A BIOPARC Foundation project that brings living ecosystems into classrooms to learn science through direct experience

¿What is 'Nature in the Classroom'?
Nature in the Classroom is a Environmental education project promoted by the BIOPARC Foundation and developed by the BIOPARC Fuengirola Education team. The initiative brings small freshwater ecosystems to schools in Málaga by installing shrimp tanks with Neocaridina shrimp, plants, algae, and other organisms that form a living ecosystem. Throughout the school year, students observe their development, participate in their care, and learn firsthand about concepts related to biodiversity, biology, ecosystem balance, and sustainability. The classroom thus becomes a living space for observation, science, and responsible learning.

BIOPARC Foundation: educate to raise awareness

Nature in the Classroom is part of the educational and awareness-raising work of the BIOPARC Foundation , whose mission is to protect and conserve nature through education, science and the involvement of society.

With this project, the Foundation extends its work beyond BIOPARC parks and brings biodiversity directly into classrooms, involving new generations in the knowledge, care and respect for living beings.
