During July 24 and August 4, the radio program 'Andalucía en tu sombrilla' by COPE made a stop at BIOPARC Fuengirola to make his listeners aware of all the conservation work that is carried out in the animal park located in the province of Malaga. In these two days of broadcast, journalist Yolanda Guirado interviewed Fernando Gonzalez Sitges, director of the BIOPARC Foundation; Francisco de Asis García, director of BIOPARC Fuengirola: Jesús Recuero, technical director of animals, veterinarian and conservator of the park; and Antonio Garrucho, head of Zoology and bird coordinator.
All of them gave a different vision of what BIOPARC Fuengirola is, from the work in conservation, species protection and education carried out by the teams, to how through the Foundation these tasks are transferred to the places of origin of the animals, or the importance of enrichments and personalized care for each one of them, as well as the history and the BIOPARC Fuengirola project.
