About
el the habitat
Several spaces make up this habitat. Saltwater aquarium room in which the seas and reefs that Elcano and Magallanes discovered on their first trip around the world are recreated. Here marine life makes its way. Dozens of types of anemones, gorgonians and corals will provide shelter for fish and invertebrates of the reef. Next, in an Amazonian river covered in bromeliads, corydoras, tetra fish, crayfish and scalars live, along with valuable aquatic plants. A collapsed cenote is home to what is considered the largest river fish in the world: arapaimas. This habitat ends in a 14 meter high aviary, a jungle in which they will coexist Central and South American species of birds and mammals where the visitor immerses himself in the interior of the Yucatan rainforest.
