Water as a source of life and learning at the Easter children's camp "El Viaje del Agua" at Bioparc Fuengirola.

In these rainy days, the role of water in awakening the fauna and flora that surrounds us is more evident than ever. Discovering this function is essential for children to understand the importance of protecting and conserving the biodiversity that surrounds us. All of this is the focus of the new edition of the

With the arrival of spring, nature awakens in a burst of life and color, with water assuming its role as a driving force of biodiversity more than ever: it shapes landscapes, regulates the climate, and sustains the lives of millions of species, from large mammals to the tiniest microorganisms. It enables this awakening of fauna and flora.

In this spirit, Bioparc Fuengirola is launching a new edition of its "The Journey of Water" children's camp, which will take place from Monday, April 14th to Wednesday, April 16th. For three days, the little ones will embark on a unique adventure to discover the fundamental role water plays in the life of tropical ecosystems and the incredible adaptation of animals to seasonal changes.

The camp will offer an immersion in the fascinating world of the rainforest, where water is the force that shapes biodiversity. Through games, experiments, and interactive activities, children will explore how rivers and rainfall mark the rhythm of life in nature. They will observe animals that depend on water for their survival, from amphibians and fish to mammals that have developed extraordinary abilities to move between both worlds. They will also learn about the astonishing ability of some species to adapt to the dry and wet seasons in their struggle for survival.

In addition to exploring the natural surroundings and meeting their inhabitants, participants will share lunch in the jungle and enjoy additional recreational time to strengthen their connection with the environment. "The Water Journey" is much more than a camp; it's an invitation to marvel at nature, learn its secrets, and, above all, become guardians of the planet's future. The camp is not only an opportunity to learn in a fun and entertaining way, but also to instill in the next generations a commitment to preserving the planet.

At a time when nature faces unprecedented threats, it is essential that children understand the impact of climate change and environmental degradation on ecosystems. Promoting respect and care for biodiversity is key to ensuring the future of species and habitats that depend on water for their survival.
